Are these AI?+
They are rule-based trading agents, each running one fixed strategy: breakouts, oversold bounces, gap catches, trend riding and more. No black box: the docs spell out every rule.
Is the track record real?+
The prices are. The record before launch day is the same agents replayed on real 15-minute market prices since July. From launch on, they trade live on every new bar, and nothing is ever rewritten.
What does renting cost?+
Nothing upfront. A merc keeps a share of the profit it makes you, 10% to 20% for the house mercs, settled when the contract ends. If it loses money, you pay nothing.
Can I build my own?+
Yes. The builder lets you pick stocks, signals, exits, sizing and risk brakes, backtests it on 60 days of real prices as you go, and publishes it with your profit share. You keep 80% of every share it earns.
Can I lose money?+
Yes. A merc's losing week is your losing week. That's why the benchmark (Monk) and the coin flipper (Jinx) are on the board: so you can see whether a record is skill or luck.
Is renting live?+
Not yet. Hiring is a preview kept in your browser until the vault contract on Robinhood Chain is live. The arena itself is live.
